The Youth Service Bureau, serving
St. Tammany & Washington Parishes, was founded in 1981 by Judge John W. Greene with the mission to provide troubled or at-risk youth and their families with programs of prevention and early intervention that enable the youth to choose a new direction and become responsible community members.
The Youth Service Bureau (YSB) also fosters quality advocacy efforts to ensure that all children in our community have safe and permanent homes.
YSB serves Louisiana’s 22nd Judicial District from four office locations near the respective courthouses in Covington, Slidell, Bogalusa and Franklinton. The Slidell facility suffered tremendous damage in Hurricane Katrina and was rebuilt, officially reopening in November 2006. The Covington and Bogalusa locations also experienced storm damage, and although remaining in operation, funds are critically needed to make major repairs and renovations to both buildings.
How You Can Help
